Best Dressed at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards: Rose Byrne in Valentino Resort 2013

It's been quite a lackluster awards season in terms of red carpet fashions, but I just adore Rose Byrne at the SAG awards. Flawless, as usual.
(Valentino Resort 2013)
The dress has such a subdued, fun, floral print that worked so well that night. It's the right amount of fun and femininity while also being absolutely chic and tasteful. You go, Rose Byrne!

Moto Coat

Finally bought this coat from ASOS the other day.
Flawless, no? I was going to wait until they had a major sale, but the website said it was in low stock so I just had to make the purchase. Mehh, it was $160 and I saved $30 using a promo code, but I guess it was a good deal. I mean I should just stfu cause I did really want it for a long time. Can't wait to wear it with skinny black trousers, a collared shirt, and black loafers. Chic, obviously.

What's the Worst Thing About College?

The books you're left with after every semester. Sigh. Don't even get me started on how poorly my university is wiling to pay me for these books.

Zuzana Bijoch, WERQ!

I don't know about you, but Zuzanna was one of the fiercest girls at Raf's second Christian Dior Couture collection.
Her dress was definitely one of my favorites from the collection. I'm a sucker for pastel pink and green. I lost it when I saw the dress paired with those sublime green, metallic heels.
What I particularly loved about Zuzanna was towards the end of the finale, she posed and started swaying. Here's a small gif that somewhat shows it.
That definitely doesn't suffice, so here's the vid (towards the end)
I just thought it was so beautiful how she swayed in that divine dress while that beautiful garden was the backdrop. The George Michaels intensified how breathtaking that moment was, imo.
She was also one of the only models that pulled off those fabulous embellished lips. Seriously, Zuzanna, werq!

Grimes at Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013

Dying over how good her outfit was when she attended Lagerfeld's latest collection for the label.
She makes those resort creepers look so good.

Should I get it or Not: The Marc Jacobs Large Daisy Shirt Edition

Okay, I'm so having a hippie moment lately in terms of clothes and all. I mean, this shirt is perfection, no?
Here's the story behind it: I remember I wanted it early of last year when it was on Net-a-Porter's website, but unfortunately sold out when I had the dinero to splurge on it. Thanks to the folks at The Outnet, it's back! BUT, it's only available in sizes US2, US14, and US16. I'm clearly like a US6-8, since I like my shirts a little baggy but not too baggy. I'm debating whether to get the US2 or the US14. I mean, sometimes at H&M, a US10 is good cause it's a bit oversized, but it doesn't look ridiculous. I'm clearly not a size US2, which is an extra small, but I wonder if I can shed the lbs to fit into it. Sigh, what's a girl to do? *Bat for Lashes' What's a Girl To Do starts playing* UGH...
And how it's styled makes me even more eager to purchased it.

I told my friend Katie that if I were to go to Coachella, it would be ideal! Like, with some denim cutoffs and a couple of effortless bracelets and rings here and there and paired off with some easy espadrilles! I'm salivating over the multiples ways I could style it.

Phew, what a list, no? Ugh, let's start planning outfits!!!!!

Ulyana Sergeenko Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013

It's finally couture season! You know what that means, thinspiration time! Lol just kidding. Let's start off with Ulyana Sergeenko and my favorite looks from that collection:
I loved how the collection had a somewhat costume element to it, yet it was divine. Also, I thought the child-like backdrop went so well with the the clothes. That huge book? Vlada in that adorable ensemble? That satin dress? Those itty bitty shorts styled with such feminine tops? Yup, I'm loving it all. Also, kudos for the superb cast. You had Cora, Irina, Vika, Vlada, and Hanne-Gaby? Perfection.

The Oh So Adorable Vlada Roslyakova at Ulyana Sergeenko Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013

Oh my god, I can't get over how my gurl Vlada looked absolutely cute and fierce at the Ulyana Sergeenko show in France yesterday. Umm #fiercetothenextlevel, anyone?
Gurl, WERQ.

Coachella, is this a Sign?

Of good things to come? Why am I even questioning this?
The wait, you guys. Ugh.

Grizzly Bear - Gun Shy (Lindstrom Remix)

New remix by Lindstrom for Grizzly Bear's "Gun Shy". You know I'm gonna be blasting this tomorrow while driving to school.

Outfit of the Day: Shearling is All That Matters

Shearling is seriously all that matters. Well, at least to me that is. I recently discovered a $50 Macys gift card the other day in my drawer and ran to the nearest department store to splurge just a little bit.
(Outfit of the Night: White collared shit from Gap. Bar III faux shearling oversized jacket purchased at Macys. Random gray beanie that's practically my child by now. Black skinny jeans from Gap. Vintage black pointed boots)
So, the fab jacket retailed originally for around $169, but there was a massive sale going on and on top of that my friend let me use her 20% discount coupon, so I ended up using the $50 gift card and paying $17 out of my pocket. It was pretty much a steal, no? Yesterday was my friend Marilyn's birthday dinner and it was the perfect place to showoff my new baby
Let's be real, the jacket is SUCH a knockoff version of those breathtaking shearling jackets from Balenciaga's Fall/Winter 2004. Sighhh..
Let's just fucking pretend it's Balenciaga, okay? But seriously, it's such a cozy, chic piece. I'm for sure wearing it back to school on Wednesday. I mean, I need a chic, eye-catching, but cozy piece for when I got back to school from vacation and this is piece is it! Maybe with a pair of jeans and a white shirt? Wait! Now that I think about it, I do have some light gray colored skinny jeans that would go so well with the jacket! Hmmm...decisions, decisions.

Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear (Full Runway Video)

The full runway video is here!
Ugh, I'm gonna cry, you guys. It's just that damn good! I can't stop listening to that damn opening track from Ty Segall.

Male Model's Street Style Fall/Winter 2013: Kim Won

Okay, let's take a minute to appreciate his fabulous street style during the recent menswear fashion season. Effortless, much?
I love his take on layering. It seems so flawless and just goes well together. Love the first outfit posted. I love a good ol' suede jacket. Fuck, I love this guy.

I NEED those Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2013 Jeans!

Like I mentioned on the post before this one, I'm obsessed with the jeans from this show that were decorated with chains. Ugh, divine, da'ling. Simply divine.
Here are a bunch of detail shots that are making me salivate and will most likely make you salivate as well.
Ugh, I want the light-washed ones. Btw, I was on the YSL website today and a pair of regular jeans are in the $480-$600 price range, so imagine how pricey these bad boys will be? Probably a ludicrous amount. Sigh, but a girl can dream *tears*.

Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2013: The Best of the Season

Wow, where do I even begin to express my obsession with this collection? As a big fan of what Hedi continuously did at Dior Homme, it's absolutely blissful to see this collection and on a runway. It's almost Dior Homme 2.0. It's rock 'n' roll, glam rock, and bit grunge with those plaids and coats. I'm honestly salivating over everything. You know, everyone might as well just burn whatever they sent out on the runway these past two weeks 'cause Saint Laurent takes the cake for best collection of the season. As someone who identifies as androgynous and outside of the box, it's great to see collections like this that fit my aesthetic. Let's be real, it's absolutely fantastic to see Hedi shake things during mens fashion week since it's always suits galore. I need sequins, embellishments, animal prints, and skinny trousers and this is exactly what I want to wear. There's a leather moto jacket in there that's making me go crazy. Just last week, I was at the rosebowl in Pasadena looking for a biker jacket, but unfortunately I ddn't come across one that was ideal. With seeing the ideal biker jacket in this collection, it's obviously a sign that my lazy ass (hey, I'm on vacay!) should keep on searching. Besides that, I'm salivating over those distressed jeans with chains on the. In my opinion, those are the most covetable pieces in this. Those chelsea-looking boots are such a Hedi Slimane staple and I love them in that brown shade in suede. The use of flannels and plaids worked well here, especially in that one look towards the end with an embroidered jacket. I would've loved if the plaid top was tucked to give a more chic evening look. Nonetheless, it was sublime. I'm usually not keen on fair isle sweaters, but I think Hedi did a tremendous job in showing them entirely in sequins. It gave the collection a more glam touch and chic-ified a lot of the cool, edgy casual looks. The longs scarves were so reminiscent of his Fall/Winter 2005 Dior Homme collection. Ahh, and that red leopard-print cardigan styled with that flannel? Sublime. Favorite looks below:

Comme des Garcons Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear

It's like Rei's aesthetic meets Alice in Wonderland. Those lovely pastels, and the feminine details just have me going head over heels. I honestly just want those pink shoes pictured above and that pastel green sweater with the slits in the front. So many stellar pieces in this that I honestly can't wait to see styled in editorials. With a season, as usual, full of coats and the same shit menswear has to offer, it's great to see Rei step outside of the box every season and offering something so beautiful that has so much depth to it. Tim Blanks described the show the best with the this comment: "Innocence, awkwardness, and sexual confusion shared catwalk space with a worldlier attitude and the first stirrings of sophistication." Ahh, couldn't have been said better. Completely agree with Tim's interpretation of the hair hinting at princesses and the hats also referencing youth and cartoons. This is definitely one of the highlights of the season and one of the best collections this season has to offer.
That last look with the pink shoes? FLAWLESS.
